Debra and her family have always believed in giving back to their communities. Her husband of 40 years and both of their sons have received their “Eagle” ranking in Boy Scouts. In 2003, Debra was presented the “DR. CLIFF HARKINS DISTINGQUISHED CITIZEN AWARD” by her Alma Mater, NORTHERN ARIZONA UNIVERSITY. She has also been recognized for her contributions by organizations such as Gilbert Leadership, as a Co-Founder and a 1^ST Class Graduate, and ASID, for her contributions to many charities through her participation in Showhouses, her role as Coordinator for the FESTIVAL OF TREES, benefiting THE PHOENIX CHILDRENS’ HOSPITAL, her contributions to HACIENDA HEALTHCARE as well as the ASID community. Debra coordinated the ARA (ARIZONA RESIDENTIAL ARCHITECTS) HOLIDAY PARTY for several years with proceeds benefiting CHILREN’S FIRST ACADEMY.
