Christmas Tree Design Tips

I am often asked for Christmas tree design tips.  As in all design, texture, scale and composition are very important.  Even if the tree is pre-lite, more lights can be added.  I like my garland to be wrapped gently (not too tight!) around the tree.  I like the ribbon to cascade down the tree which draws your eye top to bottom.  Next come the ornaments.  Large elements fill holes and make a nice statement.  From there on, I add the elements according to size.  I add all like elements simultaneously to insure balance.  Something with personality is fun to add such as animals or a drummer boy.  For more designs, click here.
